SKIRMISH BILLERICAY COVID-19 RESPONSE PROCEDURE

Purpose:

Recognising that COVID-19 has the potential for human to human transmission this procedure has been developed to control the game day operations of Skirmish Billericay to minimize the potential transmission of the virus.

Scope:

The procedure will be followed at all times until such time as the UK government states that the community at large is free of the virus and transmission between humans is no longer a concern.

Responsibilities

Site Owner

The Site Owner is responsible for the development of the Skirmish COVID-19 policy and the implementation of this procedure and ensuring that all staff, Game Managers and Marshals are aware of their responsibilities

The Site Owner will communicate the Skirmish COVID-19 policy to players prior to the day of their booking.

Group Organisers:

Must communicate the Skirmish COVID-19 policy. They are responsible for communicating the Skirmish COVID-19 policy members of their group

Game Manager:

The Game Manager will ensure that all players and Marshals are aware of this procedure

Players:

Must read and agree to follow the Skirmish COVID-19 policy

Marshals:

Must follow the requirements of this procedure at all times and also follow the Skirmish COVID-19 policy

Skirmish COVID-19 policy

Skirmish Billericay recognises that precautions must be implemented to prevent the potential human to human transmission of the CORONA virus. To ensure that you have a fun filled day, please follow the following precautions.

Personal welfare

  • If you have any of the symptoms related to COVID-19 or have been in contact with a person exhibiting the symptoms or been in contact with a person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, please do not come to the Skirmish site. If you are displaying signs of the virus you and your group will be asked to leave the site immediately.
  • All players will be asked to complete the check-in form for the specific game day. If the form is not completed to the satisfaction of staff, the player concerned will be asked to resubmit the form. Information obtained on the forms may be passed to government agencies for contact tracing purposes.
  • Face coverings are required for the following:
  • When within 1.5 metres of another player or staff member whilst in the safe zone
  • When chronographing
  • While in either of the on-site shops

Social distancing

  • Where social distancing markers have been placed please respect these at all times
  • In all other areas of the compound and on the site please maintain at least 1 meter of separation from other players.
  • Only 3 players per table in the safe zone. Do not ‘visit’ other tables.

Equipment

  • Rentals will be issued their equipment for personal use during the day. Please do not use anyone else’s equipment. If your equipment is faulty please make this known to a member of staff from the rental store who will arrange a replacement
  • Do not pick up any equipment found lying in the woods. Please identify any such equipment to a member of staff
  • Do not handle any personal equipment that is the property of another player
  • Only one person at a time is allowed into the bathroom facilities, social distancing is required when queuing to use the facilities.
  • If the facilities are not clean, please do not use and bring to the attention of a member of staff.
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly after using the facilities, if any of the handwashing or drying products are low please inform a member of staff so that they can be replaced before they run out.
  • Put used paper hand towels in the pedal bin. Do not touch the lid with your hands
  • Please use the cleaning spray supplied when you are finished with the facilities

Bathroom facilities

  • Only one person at a time is allowed into the bathroom facilities, social distancing is required when queuing to use the facilities.
  • If the facilities are not clean, please do not use and bring to the attention of a member of staff.
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly after using the facilities, if any of the hand washing or drying products are low please inform a member of staff so that they can be replaced before they run out.

Safe Zone

  • Each table will be limited to a maximum of 3 players. Please do not congregate at other tables. Do not change to another table once you have sat down or placed your kit on a table.
  • Spitting is not permitted on site.
  • We recommend you bring your own hand gel and use at regular intervals. Skirmish provides hand gel as well

Failure to follow this policy will result in you and your group being asked to leave the site.
